In an effort to raise money during the Christmas season for three local charities – The Salvation Army, The Fredericton Community Kitchen and The Fredericton Food Bank, students from 7C and Operation Keep the Change are looking for your spare change.

For every dollar you give, you will receive a ticket for a draw.

Thursday is "Ugly Sweater/Hat day". Cost is a loonie to participate. A pizza party will be given to the class that has the greatest percentage of students participating. We can do it!!

Friday is Anti-bullying T-Shirt day. There are T-shirts on sale at school from the office for 6$. You can also simply wear a blue T-shirt on Friday in support of Anti-bullying day!

Please be advised that until the sign off sheet has been returned to school, your child will be unable to take his or her netbook home.

Fireman's Challenge: Tuesday: The Fredericton Firemen have challenged the students at NMS to support our SPCA with donations of dog & cat food. This can be canned or dry. Peanut Butter, Cheese Whiz, tuna and sardines, as well as soft dog treats are included.

Because of a family situation in Montreal, I'll be away until next Monday, October 4. As a result, your final copies of the the essay or story will be collected on that day. That gives you five extra days to finish.

There will be no homework assigned in my absence except for 7I science. Any incomplete work that you begin during science on Wednesday and Thursday, must be completed by Monday.

On Thursday students of NMS are participating in the Terry Fox School walk. Each student is asked to bring in a donation of 1$.
